The ISSS Board of Directors announces the opening of FOUR positions on the executive board (see description below). Individuals who have completed a professional degree and who are active, voting members of the organization and are in good standing are eligible to run for any of the positions. The terms for President, Student Representative, and Representative at Large will begin at the close of the business meeting held at the 2017 ISSS Conference. The term for Treasurer will begin at the close of the business meeting held at the 2018 ISSS Conference, but the elected treasurer will shadow the current secretary for the 2017-2018 year.

All nominations must be received by March 17th, 2017.
Voting by electronic ballot will occur in early April.
Open Positions & Description of Responsibilities:
President (2 year term plus 1 year as Past President): The president is responsible for scheduling and presiding over ISSS meetings with an agenda. The president is responsible for all matters related to the welfare, stature, and proper operation of ISSS and will perform duties as needed to ensure the proper functioning and advancement of the society. The president will also assist with maintaining the leadership structure of ISSS (e.g., making nominations for vacant positions during a term), overseeing committees, as well as assist the conference committee with ISSS conference planning.
Student Representative (1 year term): This position is open to graduate student members in good standing at their institution. The Student Representative will serve as a liaison between ISSS Student Members and the Executive Board. The Student Representative will attend executive board meetings and organize the ISSS newsletter/blog and other responsibilities as needed/of interest.
Treasurer (3 year term plus 1 year apprenticeship prior to term): The treasurer is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounts of ISSS, providing regular budget updates, making payments for awards/services/ purchases as necessary. The treasurer is responsible for providing an annual written and oral report of the financial condition of ISSS to the executive board and working closely with past treasurer to file state tax forms.
Representative at Large (3-year term): The representative at large is responsible for attending executive board meetings, participating on one ISSS action committee, and representing the perspective and wishes of the larger membership.
