Data have been collected in Australia and Canada to assess the utility of Lewis & Hasking’s NSSI recovery framework. This person-centred approach reflects the lived experience of NSSI rather than focusing on NSSI cessation. This includes assessing: ongoing thoughts and urges to self-injure, expectations about disclosure, the nature and extent of scarring, resilience, self-efficacy and optimism. We have both qualitative and quantitative data and the final project can be decided with the candidate.
